Djuke - DIY Audio

With great thanks to Lets Encrypt for supplying free SSL/TLS certificates for my webserver, Djuke - DIY Audio has now switched from HTTP to secure HTTPS access! This way, communication to the site is encrypted and the Lets Encrypt Certificate Authority verifies that you are really looking at the Djuke - DIY Audio site. Hopefully this further improves your user experience on my site, so you can focus on building great DIY Audio equipment.

A new project has been completed: my second chipamp. A LM3886 based chipamp with balanced inputs. Measurement results are very good, actually better than I expected from the datasheet with THD+N=0.005%

A user requested if it was possible to add balanced inputs to the Mosfet power amplifier. Based on that I made a small prototype using the Burr Brown INA134. Measurements show that this circuit adds hardly any noise and/or distortion. A section with the measurements was added to the Mosfet Power Amplifier project page.

Update: Kits are now available: BalancedReceiver kit

A new project has been added: CS4398 DAC, which is a high performance Digital-to-Analog-Converter based on Cirrus Logic CS4398 IC. Measurement results are available, which shows the DAC reaches great performance.
